An advanced engineering coating that electroplates a metal alloy of 8% to 15% nickel, with the balance zinc. This alloy forms a protective barrier that retains its high corrosion resistance even after heat exposure. It is currently the coating most in demand by automotive OEMs to protect components exposed to the harshest service conditions.
- Typical applications
- Brake system components, under-hood brackets and fasteners exposed to engine heat, fuel system connections, and chassis or suspension parts subject to constant humidity and road salt.
- Available finishes
- Full range of trivalent passivates: clear (blue), iridescent (yellow) and black.
